Meet & Greet, Drop-Off, and Pick-Up Procedures

MEET & GREET PROTOCOL

Four Paws Inn provides optional meet & greet sessions prior to your pet's first stay. This allows your pet to become familiar with our environment and helps us better understand their needs.

What to Expect:

  1. Arrival Procedure:

    • Please text us upon arrival and remain in your vehicle

    • We'll guide you and your pet through our side entrance directly to the backyard

    • This controlled introduction prevents overwhelming your pet with new stimuli

  2. Pet Introduction Process:

    • Your pet will have time to explore the backyard environment and relieve themselves

    • We'll introduce 1-2 of our most calm, sociable resident dogs in a controlled manner

    • Our staff will remain present during all interactions to ensure a positive experience

  3. Facility Tour:

    • While your pet gets acquainted outside with our staff, you'll receive a tour of indoor spaces

    • You'll see sleeping areas, feeding stations, play zones, and our general setup

    • We'll discuss your pet's routine, preferences, and any special requirements

  4. Duration:

    • The entire meet & greet process typically takes 30-45 minutes

    • Appointments are available Monday-Friday between 10am-3pm

 

DROP-OFF PROCEDURE

We've designed our drop-off process to minimize stress for your pet and maximize efficiency for you.

Before Arrival:

  • Complete all paperwork (intake form and liability waiver) at least 24 hours before drop-off

  • Submit final payment through our secure payment link

  • Pack food in portion-sized containers labeled with your pet's name

  • Clearly label all medications with detailed instructions

Drop-Off Steps:

  1. Arrival Protocol:

    • Text us 5 minutes before arrival

    • Park in the designated drop-off zone

    • Remain in your vehicle - we'll come to you

  2. Pet Transfer:

    • Our staff will greet you at your vehicle

    • We'll collect your pet with their leash

    • Brief goodbyes are recommended to minimize separation anxiety

  3. Item Delivery:

    • Place all items (food, medications, comfort items) in a bag labeled with your pet's name

    • Leave the bag at our front door as directed

    • We'll collect these immediately after your departure

  4. Confirmation:

    • You'll receive a text confirmation once your pet is settled

    • This will include a photo and brief update

 

PICK-UP PROCEDURE

Our streamlined pick-up process ensures a smooth reunion and departure.

Before Arrival:

  • Confirm your pick-up time at least 4 hours in advance

  • Notify us of any changes to your scheduled pick-up

Pick-Up Steps:

  1. Arrival Protocol:

    • Text us 5 minutes before arrival

    • Park in the designated pick-up zone

    • Remain in your vehicle - we'll come to you

  2. Pet Return:

    • Our staff will bring your pet directly to your vehicle

    • We'll provide a brief summary of your pet's stay

    • Your pet will be clean and ready for the journey home

  3. Item Return:

    • All belongings will be cleaned and organized in your original bag

    • Unused food portions will be returned

    • Any medications will be secured in labeled containers

  4. Follow-Up:

    • You'll receive a follow-up text the day after pick-up

    • We welcome feedback about your experience

 

SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS

  • Medications: All medications must be in original containers with clear instructions

  • Food: Please provide enough food for the entire stay plus one extra day

  • Comfort Items: Limit to 2-3 items that provide genuine comfort (bed, toy, blanket)

  • Emergency Contact: Ensure your emergency contact information is current

 

These procedures have been carefully designed based on years of experience to minimize stress for pets and maximize efficiency. We appreciate your cooperation in following these guidelines, which help us maintain a calm, organized environment for all our guests.
